You all read The Hunger Games, right?
If the answer to that question is “no,” please stop reading this IMMEDIATELY and get thee to a bookseller/library/other place where you might find book-like things. Because this is easily one of my favorite things I’ve consumed all year, and when asked who I would recommend it to, I usually say something like “you know, people who like things that are awesome.”

When 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen’s younger sister is chosen to compete, Katniss volunteers to go in her place. Rules/fine print: The giveaway is open to participants with a United States mailing address only (international readers can enter if you have a friend in the States who can accept your prizes by mail!). Entrants under age 13 must have parent or guardian permission to enter. The giveaway runs from September 1 to September 25. Winners will be announced on or around September 30.

Never read the book, but Gale. Why not?

I haven’t read the book but I think I’m Team Gale because Peeta reminds me of pita which makes me think of hummus and I hate hummus, while Gale makes me think ofDorothy Gale Oz and I love Oz.
But I just remembered that my childhood best friend’s sister is named Gail and I hate her, so maybe I’m Team Peeta after all.
I’ll read the book ASAP, I swear.
Clearly I need to be better educated (ie. read The Hunger Games now that I finally learned of its existence). Peeta or Gale…Team Pale? Team Geeta?

I am team Katniss is awesome and I just desperately want to read Catching Fire and why doesn’t my library have it yet? I have a thing against love triangles, and I am in this for the incredibly awesome world building and sheer awesome that is Katniss.
(But if I really had to choose, team Peeta.)

I’m going to be cheating (not a fan of the Twilight parallel). So I say Team Katniss, for whoever she decides. She rocks enough to stand on her own.
Team Gale…..and no questions asked.
In what is becoming typical for me in a lot of cases, I’m on team Neither. They both get on my nerves.
Of course, I’m not eligible for this to-do, but I’m mainly commenting to say that when I saw Heather Z and Jay as the two most recent comments, my brain made me think the most recent comment was from Jay Z.
So you two are each as awesome as Jay Z, or something.

Team Gale! This is a love of the ages. Peeta is into her and all, but Gale goes way beyond that.
Gale is so much cooler. He can actually stand pain- whipping. peeta just survives cause of other people
Ughh…. Peeta. Seriously, why is it that all the boys like Gale, i think they like how he’s all macho. Peeta’s by far the better person. He’s sweet, romantic, and completely selfless…. Way better relationship material, I don’t care what “connection” Katniss and Gale have.
Team GALE obviously! Such a real and fantastic character, he makes my heart melt like no fictional character has ever done before.
I love Katniss’ & Gale’s bound. He understands her like no other, she said so herself. She is his and he is hers.

But from what I’ve heard about the book, I’ll probably end up on Team Peeta.

i know i am kind of late but please i just got to win i read the hunger game book already i never won anything in my life and i love this book i hated reading in the past but when i read this book i loved it i just got to win please.
I can’t believe how many people root for Peeta. I mean, sure, he’s kind, sweet, caring, selfless and all that other stuff but personally, I don’t think Collins has done enough justice with Gale. He’s HARDLY in both books and I feel as if she’s leaving us with the guy Katniss doesn’t want to be with on purpose as opposed to the guy she wants (but who is hardly ever around). Although, in the end, even though it’d piss me off A LOT – she’d probably be on her own. But think about it, she’s still a teenager. How can she decide on this stuff when she’s a teenager?
